Benefits

TIME-TO-PUBLISH: In a hurry to move on to your next writing project?  Authors define the timeline for publication and avoid delays beyond their control.

Marketing & Financial Considerations

Traditional publishing provides marketing support that can appeal to authors without a strong social media presence or interest in investing the time and energy to manage their own marketing.

Traditional publishing typically includes an advance that provides immediate access to income not available through self-publishing.  The trade-off for self-published authors can be realized by retaining all profits, but when sales are uncertain, the trade-off can feel more like a gamble.

In the blink of an eye, authors can access a universe of resources to help them gain publicity, get published, and earn income for their work. the broadening of reader access to include e-books, audiobooks, and social media, means authors can gain credibility through sales and not just through their connection with a publisher.

SELF-PUBLISHING PLATFORMS

There are many self-publishing platforms, and authors should do thorough research to ensure the platform they subscribe to is legitimate. These are just a few platforms that offer self-publishing services.
