Many writers have a love-hate, love-to-hate, or a simple hate relationship with the comma. It is easy for some of us to forget commas in the throes of writing, making editing even more daunting. Others of us throw commas all over the place like we are salting french fries. Regardless of your sentiment toward commas, they are necessary for reading comprehension.
Most rules are a drag, but comma rules are welcome because we don’t have to decide where they go. Comma rules take the guess out of guesswork, so sit back, relax, and let commas rule.
